an all-in-one exam-prep platform for MDCAT, ECAT, NUST NET, FAST, CSS, PMS, and LUMS LNAT. built by students, early.

legal

terms of service.

the rules for using arthic.tech, joining the waitlist, applying for a role, or — once it exists — using the arthic platform itself.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you" or "User") and arthic ("arthic", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of arthic.tech, the arthic waitlist, arthic's hiring process, and the arthic exam-prep platform once it launches (together, the "Service"). By visiting the site, joining the waitlist, submitting a job application, or using the Service once it's live, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. eligibility and age

arthic is built for students preparing for exams that many of them sit while still minors — MDCAT and ECAT candidates in particular are often 17 or 18. If you're under 18, you may use the Service, but you confirm that a parent or legal guardian is aware of your use of it, and that using it doesn't violate any agreement or rule that applies to you (for example, a school's or academy's policy). We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the Service isn't directed at children that young; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle this.

2. the waitlist

Joining the waitlist adds your email to a list we use to tell you when early access opens and, occasionally, to share progress before then. It does not create a contract between you and arthic, does not guarantee you a spot, a specific price, or a delivery date, and does not obligate arthic to launch any particular feature. You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time by emailing us — see Contact below.

3. job applications and hiring

Submitting a job application through arthic.tech doesn't create an employment relationship, an offer, or a promise of any particular response time — we're a small team and every application is read by a real person, not an automated filter, which takes time. Anything you send us (your resume, portfolio links, writing samples, ideas for the product) remains yours; sending it to us for the purpose of being considered for a role doesn't transfer ownership of it to arthic or give us any right to use it outside of the hiring process. If you're offered and accept a role, separate terms specific to that role (an offer letter, a contractor agreement, or similar) will govern that relationship and will take priority over this section where they conflict with it.

4. accounts, once they exist

The current site doesn't have user accounts — the waitlist is an email address, and an application is a form submission. Once arthic launches an account-based product, you'll be responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for all activity that happens under your account, and for telling us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We'll update this section with more detail before that happens.

5. acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

  • use the forms on this site to send spam, unsolicited messages, or content you don't have the right to send;
  • submit someone else's personal information (in a waitlist signup or job application) without their knowledge and consent;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to arthic's systems, accounts, or data, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, or introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
  • scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the Service for a purpose other than personal, non-commercial reference, including to train another product, without asking first;
  • impersonate arthic, an arthic team member, or any other person; or
  • use the Service in any way that violates applicable law in Pakistan or in the jurisdiction you're accessing it from.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates this section — see Termination below.

6. educational content and academic integrity

arthic is a study aid meant to help you understand material, not a way to obtain answers to a live exam, bypass an academic-integrity policy, or complete graded coursework on your behalf. Past papers on the platform are provided for practice and review; using arthic to violate your school's, board's, or exam authority's rules on cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized assistance is against these Terms and is entirely your responsibility, not arthic's.

7. accuracy of exam information

arthic references exam formats, weightages, syllabi, and structures for MDCAT, ECAT, NUST NET, FAST, CSS, PMS, and LUMS LNAT to explain how the platform is built and to power the study plan and calendar features. This is provided for context and convenience — it is not an official statement of any exam authority, and it is not a substitute for checking directly with the relevant body. The Pakistan Medical Commission (or its successor body), UET, NUST, FAST-NUCES, the Federal Public Service Commission, the provincial public service commissions, LUMS, and other exam-conducting bodies change formats, syllabi, fees, and dates from year to year, and their own official announcements are always the authoritative source — never rely on arthic alone to confirm a registration deadline, exam date, or eligibility requirement.

8. the AI mentor — nature and limits

The arthic AI mentor is an automated study tool built on large language model technology. It is designed to explain concepts, answer questions, and generate practice material — it is not a licensed teacher, tutor, doctor, or exam authority, it does not guarantee any particular score or admission outcome, and like any AI system it can produce incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information. We work to make it as accurate as we can and to flag uncertainty where we're able to, but you're responsible for verifying anything important against your own coursework, a qualified instructor, or an official source before relying on it — especially close to an exam.

9. intellectual property

Unless we say otherwise, everything that makes up the Service — the arthic name and logo, the site's design and code, the AI mentor's explanations and generated practice material, and any original written content — belongs to arthic or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws in Pakistan and elsewhere. You're welcome to link to the Service, quote it with credit, or talk about it publicly. You are not permitted, without our prior written consent, to republish it as your own, resell it, create a competing product from it, or use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download it. Past papers and other third-party-authored material referenced or hosted on the Service remain the property of their original authors or exam bodies and are used or referenced under the belief that doing so falls within fair use or an equivalent exception, or with permission where required; if you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, see Contact below.

10. your content

If a future version of the Service lets you submit content — a message to the mentor, a note, a forum post, or similar — you keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting it, you give arthic a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and use that content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service (for example, so the mentor can respond to your question, or so we can debug an issue you report). You're responsible for making sure you have the right to submit whatever you submit, and for its accuracy and legality.

11. third-party links and services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services — for example, the infrastructure that hosts arthic.tech and stores waitlist and application data. We don't control those third parties and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices; using them is subject to their own terms. Links to exam authorities' official sites are provided for convenience and don't imply any partnership or endorsement by them of arthic, or by arthic of them.

12. disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING (TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW) IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We're a small team building something we care about, not a company that can promise zero bugs, uninterrupted uptime, or that the Service will always meet your expectations — we'll fix what we reasonably can, as fast as a small team reasonably can, but we don't guarantee any particular exam result, admission outcome, or improvement in your scores from using arthic.

13. limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ARTHIC AND ITS TEAM MEMBERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR ACADEMIC OR EXAM OUTCOME, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE EXTENT ANY LIABILITY ISN'T EXCLUDED BY LAW, ARTHIC'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU'VE PAID ARTHIC IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIVE THOUSAND PAKISTANI RUPEES (PKR 5,000) — WHICH, FOR MOST USERS ON A FREE OR PRE-LAUNCH TIER, MEANS (B). NOTHING HERE LIMITS LIABILITY WHERE PAKISTANI LAW DOESN'T PERMIT IT TO BE LIMITED, SUCH AS FOR FRAUD OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.

14. indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold arthic and its team members harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit that infringes someone else's rights — except to the extent the claim arises from arthic's own violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service — a waitlist spot, an account once accounts exist, or access to any feature — if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created risk or legal exposure for arthic or another user. Where practical, we'll try to tell you why. You can stop using the Service and ask us to remove your waitlist entry or account data at any time; see Privacy Policy for how deletion requests work.

16. changes to the service

arthic is pre-launch and actively changing — features described on this site may be added, changed, delayed, or dropped as we build. We'll try to keep the site accurate to what actually exists, but nothing on it is a binding promise about a specific future feature or date.

17. governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that can't be contracted around, you and arthic agree that the courts of Lahore, Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service. (This venue reflects where the team is currently based and should be confirmed once arthic is formally registered as a company.) Before filing a claim, we'd genuinely appreciate the chance to sort things out directly — email us first.

18. general

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and arthic regarding the Service, and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign them without our consent.

19. changes to these terms

If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top — the same way we handle the Privacy Policy. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

20. contact

Questions about these Terms, a takedown request, or anything else legal: email hello@arthic.tech — a real person on a small team will read it.
